Gov. Hochul recommends former Paddy’s Market, Hunts Point rail station and other NYC sites be added to historic registers
The sites are among 21 properties across New York that Hochul announced the state Board for Historic Preservation will recommend for historic recognition.
A spot on the National Register does not prevent property owners from renovating or demolishing individual buildings, but it does make owners who meet preservation guidelines eligible for tax incentives and grants.
