It's April 7 and it's freaking 90 degrees! That was the temperature measured at 1:45 p.m. in Central Park and WCBS 2 reports that its "forecasters believe the mercury could rise even a couple more degrees, shattering the 81-year-old record." (The 1929 record was 89 degrees.) In fact, WCBS 2 meteorologist John Elliott had fashion advice, "I want to make sure you have the right clothes, the right shoes, light colored. Don't forget the sunscreen and the water. Prepare as you would for a scorcher during mid-summer... The last time we hit 87 degrees was on August 21 of last year."
