Win and they are in. That is the simple truth for the Giants heading into Sunday’s game. A victory and they will make the postseason for the third year in a row, a feat they haven’t achieved in twenty-one years.
Washington stands in their way, the team that got their season started in the right direction and a club that holds its own playoff aspirations. Washington lost their starting quarterback last week, but Todd Collins stepped in and became the NFC Offensive Player of the Week. Collins will hand the ball to the always-dangerous Clinton Portis and look for Santana Moss down the field.
On defense, Washington is tough against the run, but not very good against the pass, something the Giants should exploit. As usual, Plaixco Burress did not practice this week, but expect him to suit up and have a big game Sunday. It will be a cold and perhaps a rainy night at Giants Stadium Sunday, but that won’t stop the crowd from rocking and the Giants from winning.
