Rich people are reportedly having a harder time hiding their money now that the U.S. government has implemented anti-tax evasion laws in the Cayman Islands. And so "Deranged Millionaire" John Hodgman is on the hunt for a new place to shelter his millions, as documented on a hilarious (and truly frightening) Daily Show segment last night.

Hodgman's well-heeled character spoke with offshore banking expert David Marchant and tax lawyer Howard Rosen, discovering that the Cook Islands (or, "Crook Islands," as Rosen so delicately puts it) are the new Cayman Islands when it comes to storing all that exiled money. It is also the best place to shelter money reaped from a luxury panda-shooting business. (NOTE: Gothamist does not endorse panda-shooting. Pandas are amazing.)

It would be easier to laugh maniacally if the world were less cruel.
